Move to the Music

Music naturally inspires movement. So this fun-filled mix of photos of real musical instruments, pictures of the actions, and delightful rhyme is sure to make your little one want to wiggle. The action starts as your child discovers which musical instrument is making the “sound” by lifting one of the large, easy-to-open flaps to find out. Colorful photographs of children engaged in movement and delightful Baby Einstein characters encourage your child to follow along. Between the ages of one and three, children respond best to music when they experience it through movement. Don’t be surprised if this adorable board book “moves” your child!

Tie-in Activity: Repeat the Beat! Use any child’s musical instrument—or just clap your hands—to create a simple rhythm. Encourage your child to try to repeat it. Then allow your child to start, and copy him or her.
